Gilbert Nakatani (4-1-0) takes on Enrique Marte (1-2-0) for the Lights Out Xtreme Fighting flyweight title in the main event at Saturday night's LXF13 card at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. LXF, founded in 2019 by former NFL All-Pro Shawne Merriman (nicknamed "Lights Out" during his career) and focuses on developing fighters. The fight series includes crossover bouts involving athletes from other sports, tournaments, title bouts and grudge matches. Nakatani lost for the first time as a professional back on March 18 when he lost a unanimous decision to Eimar Hernandez at Urijah Faber's A1 Combat 9 in Long Beach. Marte has lost his last two sanctioned bouts, including a majority decision loss to Hernandez at Cage Warriors 133 in San Diego on March 4, 2022.

There are seven other fights on the card, including featherweights Omranuddin Tara Khail (1-0-0) and Sal Bruno (2-1-0), a pair of middleweights in Jake Woodley (2-0-0) and Angel Ramirez (1-1-0) and a battle of lightweights with Anthony Desilva making his professional debut against Bryant Shell (0-4-0).
The card wraps up with welterweights Saad Ul-Hasan (5-7-0) and Jose Maruz (2-6-0), while bantamweight Marcelino Silva (0-6-0) steps up to the lightweight division to fight Tre Alvarado (1-0-0). Finally, lightweights Chris Pena (3-4-0) and Ray Ostrander (3-5-0) square off prior to the Nakatani-Marte title bout.
Bruno was originally scheduled to fight Miguel Peimbert before Khail was signed as a replacement. The women's featherweight title fight between Abby Montes and Jackie Cataline, set to headline the card, was canceled.
